Introduction

According to Winslow (1920), public health was defined as “the science and the art of preventing disease, prolonging life, and promoting physical health and efficiency through organized community efforts for the sanitation of the environment, the control of community infections, the education of the individual in principles of personal hygiene, and the organization of medical and nursing service for the early diagnosis and preventive treatment of disease.” It is a practical study to enhance and improve the health of people via their surrounding environment and social groups.
Our department consists of the following two major fields: community health and occupational health.
Regardless of the applicant’s background, we welcome everybody who are interested in and willing to study these themes. We will also give support to train researchers and educators who are capable of playing an active part in the international/domestic public health areas, such as university, institute or health sector.
